Mrs.Beckner's Blog (Room 206)
Senior Elementary is a combination of 4th and 5th level students (9-11 yrs.) which is comparable to the more traditional 4th and 5th grade. These students continue their Montessori education utilizing more advanced didactic material in conjunction with specific curriculum textbooks and supplemental materials to enhance their education. This merging of Montessori with some aspects of the more customary approach to education prepares the student for transitioning to a more traditional program for education.
All subjects are integrated into the daily routine of the child. Each child is introduced to
the subjects presented in a traditional curriculum, as we work to enhance his/her depth of
knowledge and hopefully a lifetime love of learning.
