ABOUT OUR PROGRAM

Program Goals

The general goal of a Montessori school is to guide the child’s growth toward autonomy, i.e. the power to govern one self.

Specific goals and objectives for a child on the Primary/Transition side are:

  1. An awareness of a loving God and an appreciation of God’s gifts.
  2. The ability to function as independently as possible at home and at school.
  3. The development / refinement of their senses.
  4. Self control in social settings.
  5. Academic preparedness.
  6. To reach their fullest potential in all areas.
  7. To foster an excitement and love of learning.

Specific goals and objectives for a child on the Elementary side are:

  1. An understanding and appreciation for basic Catholic principles.
  2. Growth in precisely identified intellectual, social, and physical skills.
  3. Enhancement of one’s emotional well being. An awareness of one’s own feelings and the feelings of others. The promotion of a positive self esteem.
  4. Fostering an attitude of responsibility to others.
  5. The ability to find meaning in knowledge.
  6. Awareness, Knowledge and Understanding
