| The OMMS Montessori Mile is an annual fundraising event aimed at raising money for the athletic facilities on campus as well as being a fun athletic event for the kids. The event promotes health and fitness while offering the students and families a chance to test their stamina and determination by completing the mile-long course through the campus grounds. The event combines the races along with a fun-filled expo including local vendor booths promoting health and fitness products and services, demonstrations and a raffle.  
The funds raised from this event are used to make improvements to our existing athletic field. In addition, we would like to improve our parking, purchase some sports equipment, including goal posts and a softball backstop, and add a concrete basketball/volleyball area. We also plan on adding some seating for spectators and participants as well as a storage area. It is organized and run by the PTG Board and many volunteers.
