Middle School is comprised of 6th, 7th, and 8th level (grade) students. These students continue their innovative Montessori program employing textbooks in conjunction with a variety of supplemental resources to further enrich their educational environment. The program further assumes a more traditional approach with a departmentalized curriculum which provides each level with the benefit of instruction/guidance from multiple teachers. OMMS incorporates these strategies to prepare students for their departure into the more conventional approach to education encountered in high school. All aspects of a traditional school curriculum are incorporated into their daily routine with enrichment classes such as drama, music, and art included every other week. We encourage and strive to motivate students as we work together to enhance their depth of knowledge and hopefully foster a lifetime love of learning. |
