Old Mission Montessori School (OMMS), Mission San Luis Rey parish's school, is a private 501(c)(3) preschool through middle school, located in Oceanside, California. Established in 1976, on the grounds of the beautiful Mission San Luis Rey Parish, Old Mission Montessori School provides a Catholic Montessori based education for families in North San Diego County. Our school provides a nurturing learning environment which encourages independence and creativity for children of varied social, economic, and ethnic backgrounds. We are the largest Catholic Montessori preschool through eighth grade, in Southern California.
Our role at Old Mission Montessori School is to prepare our students to be life-long learners and thinkers; secure in their faith and God's love. We achieve this through a carefully prepared environment that encourages and stimulates a child's curiosity for knowledge. We offer strong language, arts, math and science programs, and the overall curriculum is tailored to meet the needs of each individual child.
